I have been interested in photography since I got my first camera nearly 40 years ago. That first camera was not fancy, but it did create the interest that is still with me today.

My website is the result of many years as a hobby photographer. I graduated from that basic camera and over the years have tried various types of cameras and in 2006 I purchased my current camera, a Sony Alpha-100 DSLR . I also have several "point and shoot" cameras, a Fujifilm S7000 and a Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-P10, that I use as back up cameras or use when I need to travel light. I also have my trusty old 35mm film camera that I still use occasionally.

I enjoy photographing wildlife, anything in nature, rural life, and landscapes. I also seem to get nominated as the "official" photographer for family and church functions. Some of my favorite memories I have been lucky enough to capture in pictures.

Last year I traveled the southwestern US and was excited to have the opportunity to see and photograph the California Condor in action.

Each winter, I brave the elements to search out the great American Bald Eagle. There are several mating pairs that return each year and I have learned the best spots to catch them.

I am a K-State Research and Extension Master Gardener, specializing in Hot Peppers. My garden varieties usually changes from year to year. this year the varieties consisted of Jalapeno, Habanero, Long Red Cayenne, Serrano, Chilitepin, Hungarian Wax and Anaheim peppers. My crop for 2008 is just about done as the weather is already changing and fall is near, Next year I have some new varieties to try, some Hybrids and some "colored" peppers. (purple and white, you know the K-State colors). I am looking forward to see how they compare to other varieties.

Feel free to browse through my Galleries and I hope you enjoy the photos.
